The Cooper Flight Instructor Manual

by: A. Dennis Cooper

The Cooper Flight Instructor Manual has a distinguished pedigree and roots that go back to the mid 1960s. Its first author, Bruce Pultz, mentored and inspired a whole generation of Canadian pilots, including the current author, A. Dennis Cooper. After Pultz’s retirement, Cooper purchased the copyright for the manual and continued to update and maintain it from the late 1980s through 2019.

Dennis took the opportunity of the book’s 9th edition to upgrade from a self-assembled, three-ring-binder format to a professionally designed and printed book, including hardcover, softcover, and eBook options. We collaborated to bring Dennis’ vision to life. Our services included cover design, updating source files, copyediting, consultation on self-publishing and online selling, and providing marketing design and collateral for the 9th edition book launch.

The resulting Cooper Flight Instructor Manual, 9th Edition, is a fitting evolution for this long-standing textbook that has for decades helped prepare pilots to become effective flight instructors in Canada and around the world.
